Check Out Virginia Square
Arlington is full of distinct little neighborhoods, and one of the best is Virginia Square. Particularly well-known for its restaurants, it’s a wonderful place to grab a bite or just get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city without going too far.
El Pollo Rico
Hungry for a taste of exotic cuisine? If so, then get to El Pollo Rico, a unique Peruvian restaurant in the neighborhood. The locals know that the spit-roasted chicken is to die for. But, it’s one of those things you’ll just have to taste yourself to fully understand!
Whenever you need an after-dinner treat or just feel like a snack, check out Buzz Bakeshop. Run by Pastry Chef Tiffany MacIsaac, this popular spot has cupcakes, ice cream, and even breakfast delights all made fresh in-house.
After you’ve eaten your fill in Virginia Square, burn some calories by visiting Custis Trail. It’s a paved, four-mile trail that you can run, bike, or walk. Whatever you do, you’ll take in some gorgeous views in the process!
When you’re done exercising your body, why not exercise your mind? Visit Central Library, a kid-friendly public library that regularly hosts community events. It’s also got plenty of space for working or reading and an excellent selection of books.
Ultimately, Virginia Square is a smaller area that overlaps some of the surrounding neighborhoods. However, it still has its own unique vibe and personality, which make it worth checking out. Plus, you won’t find better food or a wider variety anywhere else!
