Whether you’re an avid sports fan, a history buff, or just someone looking for a good time in D.C., Navy Yard is a wonderful place to be! This area attracts plenty of tourists each year, but it’s also got lots of little hidden places that make it a favorite among the locals. In short, if you know where to go while you’re there, it’s the best of both worlds!
Bluejacket
A favorite spot among Navy Yard locals is Bluejacket, and it’s easy to see why! Here, you can sit outside with your dog while you grab a beer and/or a burger. Or, you can take a date to enjoy delicious food, including some unique burgers you won’t find anywhere else!
Nationals Park
Sports fans flock to Nationals Parks to catch a game. However, they quickly find that this stadium has even more to offer. Grab a craft beer, visit the included Shake Shack, or just take a quiet moment to appreciate the great and unexpected view of Washington Monument. Whatever you do, you’ll be glad you spent time at this prolific venue.
DC United Audi Field
If soccer is a little more your speed, then check out DC United Audi Field. While there, you’ll be at the home of the D.C. United soccer club! You can even take in a game and grab a bite to eat at the same time.
Bardo Beer
Few D.C. neighborhoods are more dog-friendly than Navy Yard, and Bardo Beer serves as perfect proof of that fact. This cute brewery is also home to a dog park where you can sip a beer and play some cornhole while your dog runs around.
The Bottom Line
As you can see, there’s plenty to explore in Navy Yard. Bring your furry friend or just bring yourself. Either way, you’ll be glad you checked out this awesome neighborhood and all that it has to offer, which is a whole lot!
