Spend Some Time in Cherrydale
Arlington is full of small neighborhoods. One that’s worth checking out is Cherrydale, an area rich in history.
There, you can visit the Cherrydale Volunteer Firehouse, which was built in 1919.
And, when you’re not busy exploring the past, get grounded in the present by taking a class at the nearby Sun & Moon Yoga Studio. You can also “reach higher ground” at the David M. Brown Planetarium, a small but engaging venue.
When you need solitude, you can visit tucked-away Cherrydale Park, a small green space with a playground, walking path, and plenty of peace and quiet.
You can also get a great bite to eat at the Gaijin Ramen Shop, a trendy eatery featuring the best Ramen you’ll find in the area.
At the end of the day, Cherrydale might not be a big city, but it’s close to one, as well as being a nice little respite in its own right.
